PARIS (AP) — Montpellier's slim hopes of remaining in Ligue 1 have been damaged after the southern club was handed a loss in a match that was abandoned last month.

Interrupted on 16 March as the Greens led 2-0 on the lawn of the MHSC, the Ligue 1 match will not be played again. In a decision rendered on 2 April, the Disciplinary Commission gave the game won for Saint-Etienne.
