The Western Japan tournament of the Junior Champions League (JCL), organized by the Japan Professional Boxing Association, was held in Fukuoka Prefecture on the 20th and 21st. Among the Okinawan men, Mamoru Nakaza (Ryukyu) won the U10 27.5kg class, and Shosei Shiroma (Ryukyu) won the U12 40.0kg class. Among the women, Meia Irei (Winner) won the U12 35.0kg class, both by decision.
