First VLS Mogami frigate commissioned | The Australian Naval Institute

Mitsubishi Heavy Industries, Ltd. (MHI) has delivered the Niyodo frigate, ordered by the Ministry of Defense in the fiscal year 2021 (Reiwa 3), near its ship yard and machinery of Nagasaki, plant of Nagasaki. This ship is the seventh belonging to the class Mogami constituted from multirole frigates from 3.900 tons of the Japanese Force of marine self-defense.
