Youth in Hay River tested their engineering and seafaring abilities at the town’s Cardboard Boat races on June 28. The event saw teams face off to build their own boats out of cardboad and duct tape, before racing them in the Hay River Aquatic Centre. There was also an Asphalt Art event and barbecue, both organized by the town, at the same time.
