In Moldova, Europe takes on Russia
Europe is not leaving Moldova out in the cold. Literally, because after an emergency line for the separatist region of Transnistria, where 350,000 people were without heating for weeks, it is now spending hundreds of millions to completely disconnect the country from the uncertain gas supply from Russia. In this way, Moldova is increasingly becoming the scene of a geopolitical battle.
