On Tuesday, the administrative court of Lyon annulled the prefectural decree of 2023 which aimed to regulate rents in Lyon and Villeurbanne. The prefecture of the Rhône announced its intention to appeal.
On 14 October 2025, the administrative court of Lyon annulled, in a judgment, a decree of the Prefect of the Rhône dating from September 2023 and laying down the conditions for the supervision of rents in the communes of Lyon and Villeurbanne.
