A man contacted Kaunas police on Wednesday, claiming that he had been scammed out of 80,400 euros in February, the Police Department reported on Thursday. The man, born in 1960, used an invitation link in December last year and joined a WhatsApp group offering to invest in certain stocks. On February 12, 2026, unknown individuals convinced him to invest in the Freedom24 investment platform and fraudulently swindled him out of 80,406 euros.
