The President of Georgia, Mikhail Kavelashvili, whose legitimacy the opposition does not recognize, has pardoned the leaders of the opposition party Lelo - Strong Georgia, Badri Japaridze and Mamuku Hazaradze. Japararidze and Hazaradze, along with six other opponents, were convicted in the case of non-compliance with the requirements of the Parliamentary Inquiry Commission, all of whom received between seven and eight months' imprisonment.
