Italy's annual inflation rate rose to 1.2% in December, up from 1.1% in November, according to provisional data released by Istat in Wednesday. The national statistics agency said its consumer price index was up 0.2% in month-on-month terms. (ANSA)
On the trend of inflation on an annual average weighs the price dynamics of regulated energy goods (+16.2% from -0.2% of 2024) and that of unprocessed food (+3.4% from +2.3%). In 2025 the underlying inflation stops at +1.9% (from +2.0% of 2024)
