For the past five years, in Cairo, the American NGO World Monuments Fund has been working to revive from its ruins a 16th century religious complex built by Sufi master Ibrahim Al-Gulshani. This restoration also aims to revitalize this unknown medieval neighbourhood of the Egyptian capital and attract more tourists.
