According to the latest immigration court data released by Syracuse University's Center for Governmental Records Exchange (TRAC), as of December 2025, there were 3.38 million backlogged immigration cases nationwide, of which 2.34 million were asylum cases, accounting for nearly 70% of the total backlog. In terms of case adjudication, the deportation rate was as high as nearly 80%.
