- On Wednesday, the Illinois House approved new e-bike and e-scooter regulations in an 80-30 vote, with the bill now awaiting a final concurrence vote in the Senate after passing unanimously there in April.
- Secretary of State Alexi Giannoulias initiated the bill to establish uniform safety standards, as House sponsor Rep. Barbara Hernandez noted roadways look very different than they did five years ago.
