Tonight or tonight the House of Representatives may vote on two tightened asylum laws that will make illegal residence in the Netherlands and assistance to illegal immigrants punishable.
Due to a politically chaotic debate, an amendment was adopted on Tuesday to criminalize illegality and the assistance of illegal immigrants. The consequences of this are "incalculable", say those involved.
