Police have arrested five people after a series of raids in Kahnawake and Montreal as part of an investigation into the flow of illegal firearms passing through the Mohawk territory on the city’s South Shore.
Two individuals were arrested and charged, including a resident of Kahnawake, and 15 prohibited and restricted firearms were seized in an operation of the City of Montreal Police Service to stop the activities of individuals suspected of using the Kahnawake Reserve on the South Shore of Montreal to carry out their trafficking.
