The Romanian gendarmerie represents “a basic pillar” of security and public order, said interim President Ilie Bolojan, who instructed the institution's representatives to continue to do their duty in compliance with the law.

Interim President of Romania Ilie Bolojan met at Cotroceni Palace with representatives of the defense industry and the main trade unions in the field.

Acting President Ilie Bolojan stated on Thursday, on the occasion of Gendarmerie Day, that if we have progressed in these years, it is also because the Romanian Gendarmerie has made an important contribution to the safety of communities, to maintaining order and social balance, especially in difficult times. He also showed that the Romanian Gendarmerie enjoys the appreciation of our partners.
