IL Senate passes Rev. Jesse Jackson youth voter empowerment bill – WAND (Decatur)

The bill would ensure all high schools offer students of voting age the opportunity to register during the school day in a safe, accessible and nonpartisan environment. Yet, Senate Republicans argued the State Board of Elections already provides voter registration information to schools.
