The Institute of Clinical and Experimental Medicine (IKEM) repeatedly violated laws and its internal regulations when handling property and public money between 2022 and 2024. This was discovered by the Supreme Audit Office (SAO) during an inspection that examined 102 cases of money handling totaling 905.3 million crowns.

According to the Supreme Audit Office, IKEM's management has serious shortcomings. Between 2022 and 2024, the institute repeatedly violated laws and its own rules in handling public money and property. The auditors found errors in half of the 30 contracts examined and also pointed out cases where IKEM awarded contracts to a single supplier without competition.
