Due to a blockade of the Austrian Brenner Autobahn A13 by local residents, chaos threatens to erupt on the roads in large parts of southern Germany and Austria on Saturday. A demonstration during which the road will be blocked between 11:00 and 19:00 will completely paralyze one of the most important European traffic arteries towards Italy in both directions.
Even a day before the complete closure, long traffic jams are expected on the important north-south route. This is mainly because all holidaymakers have the same idea.
