IDFC First Bank Shares Soar Over 8% After Record Q1 Profit, Asset Quality Improves

  • Gross non-performing assets declined to 1.51 per cent from 1.61 per cent in the March quarter, while net non-performing assets eased to 0.44 per cent from 0.48 per cent over the same period.
  • Alongside these results, the lender created a contingency provision of Rs 515 crore as a prudent measure to prepare for potential macroeconomic and geopolitical uncertainties that could affect the operating environment in the future.
