IDF Kills Terrorists, Destroys Tunnels in Gaza, Lebanon Strikes

SOUTHERN LEBANON, JUL 17 – The Israel Defense Forces targeted Hezbollah operatives rebuilding terrorist infrastructure in Southern Lebanon, killing two including a senior Radwan Force commander, according to military sources.

  • On Wednesday, Israel Defense Forces struck a Hezbollah command center in Yohmor, violating understandings between Israel and Lebanon, the military said.
  • Since the truce, the IDF has conducted frequent raids, as the Nov. 26, 2024 ceasefire aimed to end over a year of clashes and has led to ongoing enforcement efforts.
  • The military said precautions were taken, and `special, targeted operations` uncovered arms depots across Southern Lebanon, the IDF said, to minimize civilian harm.
  • Israel Defense Minister Israel Katz said, adding `a clear message` sent to Hezbollah’s Radwan Force and the Lebanese government.
  • Under the ceasefire, Hezbollah must retreat north of the Litani River while Lebanese Armed Forces deploy along the 75-mile frontier, coordinated with monitors from the U.N. Interim Force in Lebanon, the military said.
