All students and staff are safe, IDEA Public Schools says. SAPD officers had responded to a call that "a student wearing tactical gear was in possession of a gun," a statement from the agency reads.
Authorities indicated that an alert for a firearm at the IDEA Judson school campus, located on the 1300th block of Judson, was what caused the preventive closure in hours of Thursday morning.
