Bill Hader Causes Chaos in 'The Cat in the Hat' Teaser Trailer
- Warner Bros. Pictures Animation will release its first full-length animated adaptation of The Cat in the Hat in theaters and IMAX starting February 25, 2026 internationally and February 27 in North America.
- The film follows the iconic feline who works for the Institute of Imagination to bring joy to children but faces his toughest challenge yet involving siblings struggling with a move to a new town.
- Bill Hader lends his voice to the Cat in the Hat in this animated feature, which Alessandro Carloni and Erica Rivinoja co-directed and co-wrote. The film also features voice performances from Xochitl Gomez, Bowen Yang, and America Ferrera, with animation produced by DNEG.
- Brian Grazer produced the film after securing the Cat rights through five months of negotiations with Audrey Geisel, and Carloni said at the Annecy Film Festival, the Cat only cares about “having a good time.”
- If successful, the film could lead to further Cat adventures and support Warner Bros.' plans for another Dr. Seuss adaptation, Oh, The Places You'll Go!, scheduled for March 17, 2028.
