- They were moved more than 1,300 miles to the South Texas Family Residential Center, Dilley, Texas, and Justice Department records show both have pending immigration court cases, prompting protests and fundraising efforts.
- Superintendent Zena Stenvik questioned why a five-year-old was detained and described the scene as heartbreaking, while Sergio Amezcua, pastor, said `ICE agents were trying to use the baby for her to come out of her house`.
