- On Friday, U.S. immigration agents arrested Hamideh Soleimani Afshar and her daughter in Los Angeles after Secretary of State Marco Rubio revoked their green cards, targeting relatives of former Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps chief Qassem Soleimani.
- Rubio determined the individuals were ineligible for residency, citing their "lavish lifestyle" in Los Angeles while publicly supporting the Iranian government and anti-American attacks. The Trump administration stated it will not harbor foreign nationals supporting such regimes.
- Earlier, the State Department revoked visas for Fatemeh Ardeshir-Larijani, daughter of former national security adviser Ali Larijani, and her husband, Seyed Kalantar Motamedi, neither of whom remains in the United States.
- The State Department also revoked or declined to renew visas for several Iranian diplomats and staffers at the United Nations late last year, expanding enforcement targeting at least four nationals connected to the Iranian government.
- Officials declined further comment "for privacy and security reasons," while the Iranian mission to the United Nations offered no comment Saturday regarding the enforcement actions. Both sides remained silent on specifics.
