IBM Elects Ramon L. Laguarta to its Board of Directors

Effective March 1, 2026, Ramon L. Laguarta, PepsiCo chairman and CEO, was elected to IBM's board, announced Jan. 30, 2026, in Armonk, N.Y.
IBM said the appointment strengthens board expertise in portfolio transformation and growth strategy, citing Laguarta's proven track record at PepsiCo.
Laguarta has led PepsiCo since 2018, driving strategic transformation and previously held executive roles in Europe and Sub-Saharan Africa; he holds an MBA from ESADE Business School, a Master of Management from Thunderbird School of Global Management, and serves on the Business Roundtable.
