Iban de Rementería points to the risk that “the Ministry of Security will become the Ministry of Carabineros”

The academic and security expert notes that “the success of its implementation will depend on the competences and capacities of public institutions, which, according to the law, have the powers and are responsible for carrying out actions to prevent and control such illegal activities, as well as for prosecuting, investigating and punishing their perpetrators, such as the police forces, the Public Prosecutors' Offices and the Courts of Justice”.
