"I will not die in Switzerland," said the figure of the media and sports Charles Biétry, suffering from Charcot's disease, to salute the historic vote of the French deputies on Wednesday on a right to help die.
On Wednesday, the National Assembly voted in favour of a text for the right of aid to die in France. The application of the law could be effective at the beginning of 2027.
Having reached Charcot's disease, Charles Biétry welcomed the vote on helping to die. "I will not die in Switzerland," said Breton, referring to a return home to "exercise my right to freedom".
