"Rabbit between his legs, ball forward and we go back to Spotify," the musician said in a video on social media, where he regretted that the boycott that started in February had not been adhered to.
Months after removing all of his music from Spotify, Salvador Sobral announced the return to the platform: "I thought, utopianly, that I could appeal to a collective boycott, with fellow musicians and public [but] I have to sell tickets, this is my life."
“I thought, utopically, that I could call for a collective boycott from colleagues, musicians, and the public. But I went all in, and when I looked back, there was nobody there,” the musician stated.
In February of this year, Salvador Sobral withdrew all the albums from Spotify aware that the decision could be detrimental to his career.
