An extensive operation of the authorities in Romania and Bulgaria led to the confiscation of approximately EUR 2.5 million in counterfeited banks and the destruction of an organised crime network operating in both countries. According to the Minister of the Interior, Cátálin Predoiu, the investigation revealed the existence of a real "money factories" in the Suceava case, where there were counterfeit products of EUR 50, 100 and 200.
