Rachida Dati, who was tried before the Paris Correctional Court for corruption and trafficking in influence for the benefit of the Renault-Nissan car group when she was a member of the European Parliament, maintained that she had acted as a lawyer and not as a lobbyist.
On Thursday late in the afternoon, the mayor of the 7th arrondissement of Paris began answering questions from the court, focusing on the contract she signed with Renault's subsidiary, as a lawyer, which is at the heart of the accusations of corruption.
