- Courtney connected with Diana Fox Carney over a shared 10-kilometre race, while the Prime Minister enthusiastically told Lockhart, "I love Vernon," after learning where the family lived.
- Lockhart described the Prime Minister and Diana Fox Carney as "warm and genuine," noting the interaction became the highlight of their day despite the heavy security presence.
