Auger-Aliassime and Sinner Battle for Supremacy at New-Look Paris Masters
Jannik Sinner claimed the Paris Masters title, becoming the first winner at the new Paris La Défense Arena and reaching world No. 1, with over 200,000 tickets sold, organizers said.
- Sunday, Italy's Jannik Sinner defeated Canada's Félix Auger-Aliassime 6-4, 7-6 to win the Paris Masters and moved to the top ranking in men's tennis.
 - The Paris La Défense Arena hosted the tournament as organisers said it 'needed to be able to evolve' and surpassed last year's attendance record, with FFT reporting over 200,000 tickets sold.
 - Sinner advanced to the final after swatting aside third seed and defending champion Alexander Zverev 6-0, 6-1, while Félix Auger-Aliassime defeated Alexander Bublik 7-6, 6-4; Auger-Aliassime said, `All finals of Masters 1000s are a dream` in front of 17,500 spectators.
 - Auger-Aliassime had needed the title to clinch the eighth and final ATP Finals spot in Turin, but losing the final cost him that opportunity.
 - Adding his name to Paris Masters winners, Sinner is the first man to win the 56-player format at Paris La Défense Arena, joining Roger Federer, Novak Djokovic, Pete Sampras and Andre Agassi.
