The former President of the People's Union of the Gagauz region, Dmitri Constantinov, a member of Ilan Ór's office, sentenced on 26 December 2025 to 12 years in prison, appeared on 16 February in a video statement published on socialization networks where he announced that he had attacked the first court of appeal and said he did not want to be in jail. On 25 January, on a later day, Constantine fled to the Transnistrian region.
