One person is dead and another has been flown to a hospital after a crash headed north on Interstate 25 at Palmer Divide, north of Monument, Saturday afternoon, according to Colorado State Patrol.

EL PASO COUNTY, Colo. (KRDO) - I-25 heading up to Denver has turned into a parking lot. The Colorado Department of Transportation says a crash caused parts of the highway to shut down. The crash happened between Exit 163: County Line Road and Exit 167: Greenland at mile marker 164. Drivers are currently being rerouted on a detour. The Colorado Department of Transportation (CDOT) reports that the right northbound lane of I-25, north of Monument, is closed due to a traffic crash.According to the Colorado State Patrol (CSP), the crash involved a Honda Accord and a GMC Yukon.
