The IONIQ 9 BigTime concept features a lifted suspension and 422 horsepower, co-designed with BigTime creators to enhance off-road capability, debuting at SEMA's Future Tech Studio.
- On November 4, Hyundai revealed the IONIQ 9 BigTime Off-Road EV concept developed with BigTime co-founders Jeremiah Burton and Zach Jobe.
- Drawing on a 1977 vintage cabover called Bud, designers at Hyundai Motor North America partnered with BigTime, creative venture led by Jeremiah Burton and Zach Jobe, to take the IONIQ 9 into new off-road terrain.
- Featuring a lifted suspension, the concept adds unique wheels, aggressive all-terrain tires, a custom auxiliary light bar, and is based on the IONIQ 9 Calligraphy AWD with 422 horsepower and 516 lb-ft torque.
- The automaker framed the concept as BigTime upgrades that enhance IONIQ 9's off-road performance, with Sean Gilpin saying it suits adventurous driving.
- BigTime will spotlight the concept across BigTime social platforms including Instagram, and although Hyundai didn't confirm production, observers say it could hint at an IONIQ 9 XRT similar to the IONIQ 5 XRT.
