- "In the best cities for renters, rent can cost you as little as around 15% of your income," WalletHub analyst Chip Lupo said, noting robust tenant-protection laws limiting security deposits.
- Nationally, Zillow reports typical asking rent hit $1,910 in March, a 1.8% year-over-year increase, while single-family rents spiked 2.5% and multifamily rents climbed 1.3%, the slowest pace since 2020.
