UNICEF announced that more than 32,000 children have been affected by the floods that began in Nepal at the end of August. 84 children have died in the floods, and 5,285 people are still reported missing. UNICEF spokesperson James Elder highlighted the effects of climate change, noting that the Himalayas are warming at approximately twice the global average rate.
