‘Justice for All’ Protests Held in Santa Barbara, Carpinteria in Wake of ICE Killings
Over 135 communities held vigils to mourn victims and call for accountability, demanding independent investigations into recent ICE killings.

- Lorenzo Salgado Araujo was killed by an ICE agent in Houston on July 7, and six days later ICE fatally shot 26-year-old Johan Sebastian Guerrero in Biddeford, Maine.
- Since those deaths, two more individuals in Florida and Georgia have been killed by ICE, while the agency operates more than 200 detention facilities across the United States.
- Public Citizen, the National Day Laborers Organizing Network, The Workers Circle, Detention Watch Network, and the League of United Latin American Citizens are demanding immediate transparency and removal of ICE agents.
- Everyday people now demand that local and state leaders end coordination with ICE and remove agents from city streets, holding federal agencies accountable for the killings.
