NSW aims to protect public libraries from external pressures after over 300 book exclusion attempts nationwide since 2023, ensuring free access to diverse materials.

There have been 309 attempts to exclude 184 titles from library shelves around Australia since 2023. Now a law change is proposed to fend off the culture wars.
