The ship MV Hondius, affected by a hantavirus outbreak, will arrive in the Canary Islands on Sunday morning. Nearly 150 passengers and crew members, considered "high-risk contacts, will be evacuated.
The cruise ship is scheduled to arrive on Sunday at dawn off the island of Tenerife with its nearly 150 passengers and crew members, all considered "high-risk contacts" by WHO.
In order to avoid contamination early this Sunday morning, ships will commute between the land and the cruise ship. The passengers will then be transported by bus to the airport, to be repatriated.
