What Does It Cost to Attend the World Cup?
NBC News found opening-match costs range from just over $600 in Miami to more than $2,000 in New York and New Jersey.
The 2026 FIFA World Cup, hosted by the United States, Mexico, and Canada from June 11 through July 19, faces ongoing controversy over attendance costs, with opening match packages exceeding more than $2,000 in some cities.
Tickets account for nearly half of total trip costs, while accommodation makes up around 23%, flights around 19%, and food and drinks at 8%, according to betting website AceOdds.
The World Cup Final ticket alone is estimated at $15,500 for two people, exceeding the combined cost of all three group stage matches for most nations.
Average prices for one hotel room and one ticket ranged from slightly over $600 in Miami to more than $2,000 in New York and New Jersey for opening matches.
Fans supporting teams reaching the final could spend between $57,121 and $63,647 to attend all eight matches, as this World Cup features more games than ever before.
