ONDO STATE, NIGERIA, JUL 17 – The landlord orchestrated the kidnapping and murder to conceal a robbery and extortion plot, with N800,000 withdrawn from the victim's account during captivity, police said.
- On Wednesday, July 16, 2025, Commissioner Adebowale Lawal announced the arrest of Mr Oladele Femi and two suspects, citing their alleged role in the AAUA students’ case.
- The petition dated June 24, 2025 prompted police to launch an intensive inquiry, and Lawal said the landlord ordered suspected cultists to 'deal with' Abah.
- Through forensic tracking, investigators traced an iPhone 14 Pro Max to Computer Village in Ikeja, Lagos and seized a Lexus RX 350, securing key evidence.
- Last week, the students’ bodies were discovered near the Ondo-Ekiti border at separate sites, and police sources said Femi died in a hospital after falling ill in custody.
