- About 30 attackers stormed the station armed with assault rifles and dynamite, witnesses said they operated in commando style and overpowered security operatives.
- The Commissioner of Police ordered immediate deployments including Tactical Teams, EOD‑CBRN units, and Police Mobile Force, while police, DSS, and Amotekun Corps launched a manhunt for the attackers.
