The dream of property is moving further and further into the distance: this year, housing has become significantly more expensive in the first half of the year.
Housing prices rose by six percent in a year, according to data from Statistics Estonia. Real estate market participants confirm that after the slump, prices have started to rise again and there are plenty of interested parties.
Residential real estate prices rose by 3.0 percent quarter-on-quarter and 9.1 percent year-on-year in the second quarter of this year. 2,735 residential properties were sold, or approximately five percent more than in the previous quarter.
Estonian housing prices continued to rise in the second quarter of this year. According to Statistics Estonia, the housing price index rose by 5.8 percent year-on-year, with house prices growing faster than apartment prices.
