House of the Dragon star Bethany Antonia joins Strictly
- Actress and House of the Dragon star Bethany Antonia has been announced as the ninth celebrity for the 2026 series of Strictly Come Dancing. "I can't quite believe I will be heading to the Strictly ballroom this September," Antonia said.
- Antonia began her acting career at 14 years old in a short film adaptation of The Tempest before gaining global fame portraying Lady Baela Targaryen in HBO's House of the Dragon. She currently stars as Eurydice in the West End musical Hadestown.
- She joins a diverse lineup including EastEnders actress Lacey Turner, TV presenter Will Best, Australian singer Delta Goodrem, and Paralympic cyclist Dame Sarah Storey. Eight other celebrities have been confirmed for the 2026 ensemble.
- The 2026 series brings significant changes, with new hosts broadcaster Emma Willis, comedian Josh Widdicombe, and professional dancer Johannes Radebe replacing departing presenters Tess Daly and Claudia Winkleman. Professional dancer departures include Karen Hauer and Gorka Marquez.
