House committee alleges Biden admin used funds to back anti-government protests in Israel
UNITED STATES, JUL 18 – House Judiciary Committee alleges Biden administration funneled over $900 million in U.S. funds through NGOs to support anti-Netanyahu protests and groups linked to terrorism, based on 380 documents.
- The House Judiciary Committee released a memo on Thursday accusing the Biden administration of using nearly $1 billion in US funds to support Israeli nonprofits opposing Prime Minister Netanyahu's judicial reform in 2023.
- This investigation stems from reports that several nonprofits, including Blue White Future and PEF Israel Endowment Funds, funneled hundreds of millions to groups involved in anti-democracy protests.
- The memo also highlights that USAID granted the Gaza-based Bayader Association nearly $1 million as recently as October 1, 2023, despite its coordination with Hamas officials and ties dating back to 2016.
