DALLAS (KDAF) — North Texas starts off near 80° and climbs into the mid-90s this afternoon. Plus, a few isolated thunderstorms could bubble up in the heat. Meteorologist Brian James shares what to expect.

Mid 90s Returning And Sticking Around For A While

We have an active weather pattern in place through Thursday.  Gulf moisture is flowing into the state and that’s fueling periods of showers and t-storms.  The rain activity will keep temps down in spots. In the meantime, a mostly cloudy sky will prevail over the area tonight .  Occasional showers and possibly t-storms will still be possible.  Temps will only fall into the lower to mid 70s for overnight lows.
