Horse dead, two buildings destroyed after Monday barn fire

ATWELL — A horse is dead after a fire destroyed a barn in southeastern Rowan County Monday afternoon. The fire occurred at approximately 1:15 p.m. at the end of Ervin Farm Road, off of Deal Road.
