Edda Sjöberg, 5, was picking stones on the beach on the island of Långören in the Kalix archipelago. Suddenly she was holding a two-centimeter-long, cylindrical object. It turned out to be a live-charged artillery shell. – I wonder how many more projectiles there are along the beaches here. And what would have happened if some teenage boys had found it, instead of my daughter, says Ragna Sjöberg, Edda's mother.
Stone after stone was thrown from the beach in the Kalix archipelago. Then Edda Sjöberg, 5, found a live grenade. “It was a real shock wave,” says mother Ragna, after the object exploded.
