- Developing the 30,000-hectare Northern Metropolis acts as a growth engine, adding three university towns of around 300 hectares each to bolster the city's role as a "super connector" within the Greater Bay Area.
- Public consultations drew about 16,000 submissions, with roughly 80 per cent from individuals, prompting Lee to incorporate "binding indicators" and "anticipatory" metrics into the framework, he told reporters on Tuesday.
- This master plan establishes the legacy Lee hopes to leave before his term ends in June 2027, though he has not yet indicated whether he will seek a second term at the helm.
